Just came back from Baikal, a tremendous trip!
  I have not experience such energy for a long time.
  When I arrived in Irkutsk, the heavy shower has begun, that the local didn't remember such weather for many years. Jamming on roads were almost like in Moscow and some cars swam in puddles. The people simply lost their heads and drive as in Cairo.
  We went to Olkhon with friends next day. This is an island. Only have not reached it, there are two ferries, only lines were so huge that it was possible to wait for 2 days.
I had not this time.
  That is why we stopped opposite the Olkhon on the Small Sea. Energy is not the same as on the Baikal Lake, as my friends said, only for me this was perceptibly.
  It was very unusual, the weather was wonderful for this place. They say that on small parts of Baikal Lake can be storm and near by peace and quiet. Probably this is lake's mood. Cannot explain in another way. My friend say that if there is storm on the Ontario Lake, it is on the whole lake.
  There are a lot of holidaymakers on the Small Sea, of course this is not good. Water is warm, and is pleasant to swim.
It is warm only for one meter. I swum in the last day, and this was amazing! The water was so pleasant that I did not want to go out. Later I was sorry that had not swum all the days while I was there.

Baikal creates problems for people.
Of course what you can see on the photos can happen anywhere, only that accident has happened here.



Many people understand that Baikal is a life being and we have to treat it with respect.
Here is not allowed to behave yourself like home.
Only love and kindness can help to understand that we are a part of the Earth planet.

  The most famous thing that people bring from Baikal is omul. It is plain view, only very delicious fish. For example cooked a half of bucket of fish (not omul!) and ate plenty. I thought that I would not eat anything more. Friends said that omul was ready. I was going to wait for a little while, only omul had to be eaten hot directly from fire. Had to persuade myself. The result was astonishing! I ate all!
  The question is: where from have we got the omul? If you think that we caught it, I do not know how to do this. We spinning pike from inflatable boat. Buryats bring omul every morning to the shore, and sell it for 80.00 rubles.
  I brought omul home, bought it in the shop for 300 rubles for kilo, of course it was not fresh, it was cold smoking.
The omul is the most delicious fish which I have ever eaten.
People say that there is a fish market in Tokio, and fish is sold there from auction. The fish is brought from all the world. I am sure that there is no omul.
  Who can argue against?
An unusual thing in fish soup cooking on the Baikal, is that the water is ladled out from the lake.
  And for tea as well!
This is the best first course.
Also have noted that sleep enough on Baikal, even if have slept for some hours.This is lake's energy.
  The water in the Baikal Lake cannot be compared with another water. The most dead water, in which I have even swum, is in Arabian Gulf in Dubai. Probably, this is because drinkable water is taken from that gulf, only the salt, which is generated, is thrown back.
Baikal is a live being. The water is warm in Cyprus and in Greece in summer. This is only one advantage.
  It is possible to have a rest in tents and luxury hotels on the Baikal Lake. As my friend say, there a lot of foreigners in summer, especially from Japan.
  It is the best place for rest!
  It is difficult to find such a place, Baikal is magic.
